Workflow toolkit
Giving agent-assisted work a structure
Reusable project practices and tools for keeping scope, decisions, handoffs and evidence available beyond a chat.
- My part
- Developed reusable repository practices and scripts with agents to keep scope, decisions, checks and handoffs available between sessions.
- Where it stands
- A toolkit with audit and bootstrap/retrofit scripts, agent contracts and documentation, developed for my own projects.
As I build with agents, I keep returning to the work around the code: what we agreed to do, why a decision was made, what was checked and what the next person needs to know.
Engineering Harness brings some of those practices into reusable repository scripts, agent contracts and documentation. Its source includes tools for inspecting a repository and adding the working structure.
A working structure that travels
A new session should not have to recover the project from scattered conversation. Scope, decisions, verification and the next step need a place that can be read again.
The toolkit includes audit and bootstrap/retrofit scripts, along with documentation and collaboration conventions. I’m developing it with agents for my own work.
Structure has to earn its place
A template is useful if it helps the next decision or handoff. More documentation alone does not establish better delivery. The question remains practical: does the structure help us carry understanding forward and produce evidence someone else can inspect?
