Enterprise solutions & delivery
Connecting client needs with technical delivery
Solutions Engineer
Solsys
Enterprise solutions work across client investigations, systems integration, implementation and operational handoff.
- My part
- Investigated enterprise client needs, designed and implemented integrations and system changes, and coordinated delivery with client and specialist teams.
- What I delivered
- Client integrations, configuration changes, technical investigations and operational handoffs, including a successfully completed distributed-deployment migration.
At Solsys, I worked with enterprise clients to understand operational needs, investigate technical problems and carry changes through implementation. The role combined hands-on systems work with direct client communication and coordination across specialist teams.
From an operational need to a technical change
The work ranged from data ingestion and system configuration to dashboards, alerts, integrations and deployment behavior. I investigated what was happening, clarified what the client needed and worked through the technical changes involved.
I designed and implemented integrations for client systems and data sources, using Python and Splunk tooling. Splunk was a core platform in this work; understanding dependencies, connecting systems and explaining the options were responsibilities that extended beyond the tool itself.
Working across client and specialist teams
I supported multiple enterprise clients and served as the primary contact and functional solutions engineer for a major telecom account. That brought technical delivery and the client relationship into the same role.
Delivery also depended on people with different responsibilities and access. Some changes belonged to client staff, others to specialist teams. I coordinated with them to align dependencies and move the work forward.
One example: a distributed-deployment migration
One substantial project involved moving a distributed Splunk deployment to newer server infrastructure. I researched and designed the migration and was the primary implementer on the Splunk side. The migration completed successfully.
Client staff carried out server changes that required their access. My responsibility included understanding how those changes connected with the implementation and coordinating the work across teams.
Making the work usable beyond delivery
I documented decisions, configuration changes and implementation details for operational handoff. The people taking a system forward need enough understanding to maintain it and make the next decision.
This is the combination I carry into new work: investigate the problem, communicate with the people involved, implement the changes and leave enough understanding for the work to continue.
Different parts of the role

| Responsibility | What that involved |
|---|---|
| Investigation | Understand operational needs and diagnose issues across data, configuration, integrations and deployments. |
| Implementation | Develop integrations and system changes using Python and Splunk tooling. |
| Client coordination | Work directly with clients and specialist teams to align responsibilities and dependencies. |
| Operational handoff | Document decisions, configuration changes and implementation details so the work can continue. |
