Service design & voice evaluation
JobBooked
A receptionist-service venture for small trades businesses, built around the details of a useful customer conversation.
- My part
- Defined the service and caller experience, developed the website and guided demo, and worked on voice configuration and evaluation with agents.
- Where it stands
- Service design, a demo and voice configuration on Vapi. Fresh conversation testing, client integrations and repeatable onboarding remain ahead.

Someone is busy doing the work, the phone rings and a potential customer needs help. JobBooked starts with that situation. I’m developing a receptionist service for small trades businesses around coverage, the right questions, booking rules and knowing when to bring a person in.
The work includes the service definition, website, guided demo and voice-assistant configuration. Vapi supplies the underlying voice platform; my focus is the service and how the experience works for the caller and business.
The conversation is part of the service
Does it listen? Can it handle an interruption, ask for clarification or recover when something unexpected happens? Those details affect whether someone gets the help they called for.
Working with agents, I’ve been using historical call analysis and a structured evaluation set to work through those questions. The next voice configuration still needs fresh conversation testing.
What happens after the words
A good conversation, a completed booking and a dependable ongoing service each need their own evidence. Hearing that something has been booked does not establish that the correct event exists.
The service also depends on coverage hours, service area, approved answers, booking rules and escalation. Client integrations and repeatable onboarding remain work ahead.
Why this work interests me
JobBooked brings customer communication, technical implementation and business operations into the same problem. The aim is to give a small business useful help while making the interaction work for the person calling.
